Stress is a normal part of life.
It begins as we let out our first cry into the world, and exists as we take our last breath and leave this world.
Stress is how our body naturally responds to threat for survival. The fact that you're reading this right no shows how your ancestors were great at reacting to threat in their environment!
The problem is, you are not built to experience prolonged stress. Your stress response is designed to be your short-term survival instincts and not your natural state of being.
When you experience prolonged stress, you bathe your muscles, brain and tissue in stress chemicals that make you feel miserable at best. Stress is harmful and even lethal at its worst.
Experiencing prolonged stress can feel like your life's been hijacked. You can't think clearly through the "noise," you feel disconnected from yourself and others and you don't act like your best self.
