De-stress my life
Stress is a normal part of life. It begins when we're born (as we cry out into the world), and will be around us for most of our lives.
Effectively, our bodies are made to react to stress (or threats) for survival. The fact that you're reading this right now illustrates how good your ancestors were at reacting to threats in their environment.
So what's the problem then, you ask?
The issue develops when we begin to experience chronic stress. Our fight / flight / freeze response is designed to be our short-term coping strategy and not intended to become our natural state of being. The effects of chronic stress is insidious. When we experience prolonged stress, we marinate our muscles, brain and tissue in stress chemicals that break down our health and wellbeing in all sorts of amazing ways.
